Description

Alder, a softer wood than the likes of Ash, Oak & Birch, offers a very quick heat output to take the chill off a room. This is a great firewood for people looking for that nice authentic burning smell of firewood.

Alder is very easy to light, nice to look at and gives off a good amount of heat. It does however, burn quicker than Ash & Oak.

Alder is lighter in weight than most other hardwood firewoods, and is typically cheaper. Although this is a lighter and softer wood than most, it is kiln dried to offer a moisture content of less than 20%. This means that it will burn hot, and produce less smoke than seasoned or wet lots.
