DELIVERY INFORMATION
Fitzpatrick Fuels offer a local delivery service, which covers Huddersfield, and some of the surrounding areas.
Our minimum order for local delivery is £100, and we deliver free to most Huddersfield postcodes. If your delivery address is outside of our local delivery area, please call our team on 01484 653 768 for a delivery quote.
Local deliveries will be carried out in our own vehicles, by our friendly and helpful team. Our vehicles also have crane-off facilities to easily unload bulk bags and crates of firewood.
On our website, you can order any product, in whatever quantities that you like. Once your order has been processed, the team at Fitzpatrick Fuels will build your customised pallet, with the products in the quantities that you ordered.
We aim to deliver to you as quickly as possible. However, during the winter period, please allow for a 3 - 10 day delivery period to avoid disappointment.
You will be notified of a delivery date once you have placed your order. In the unusual event that your delivery date needs to be changed, you will be informed promptly. You can expect your delivery between 8:00 - 18:00.
Please note that we cannot give you a time to expect your delivery. If you call us on the morning of your delivery, we can give you an estimated time frame.
It is not necessary that you are home when we deliver, and if that is the case, you must advise us accordingly as to where to leave the product. We cannot be held responsible in the event of any loss or damage if you instruct us to leave the goods in your absence. We will endeavour to deliver the goods where instructed, please note, heavy items such as crates of logs and bulk bags will be offloaded via a crane and will be left adjacent to the vehicle.
As a general rule, all of our deliveries will be made by the roadside. However, if we can make the delivery easier for you by dropping the goods in a specific place on your land, we will try our best to accommodate. If we bring our vehicle onto your property, as per your instruction, we cannot be held liable for any damage.
If you live in an area with difficult access, you need to inform us prior to your delivery date so we can ensure to use the right transportation. If any of the below refers to your delivery address, please inform us:

NATIONAL DELIVERY
At this time, we no longer offer nationwide delivery through our website. The cost to deliver via third party transport companies has increased drastically, and fuel surcharges are changing weekly.
Returns
If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please contact us within 14 days to arrange a refund. It is the customer's responsibility to return the order of goods and we will refund you the cost of the product order within 30 days. We are unable to refund you for the cost of return.

Is Supertherm legal for use in smoke control zones?
Yes — it’s DEFRA-approved and suitable for appliances authorised for smokeless fuels.
How does Supertherm differ from Newheat?
They’re both excellent smokeless fuels. Supertherm is a slightly longer burner, with many customers reporting that it lasts through the night. Supertherm does also produce more ash than Newheat, so you will need to clean out your stove more regularly. Which one is “best” depends on your appliance and style of use.
Can I mix Supertherm with logs?
Yes — mixing with kiln-dried logs can give you a beautiful flame while preserving burn duration and efficiency. If you find it tricky to light smokeless fuels using kindling alone, try adding a few kiln-dried logs first. Once the logs are burning with a steady flame, place your smokeless briquettes on top of the flames. The extra heat from the logs helps the coals catch more quickly and evenly.
Is it safe to leave the fire unattended overnight?
If your stove is designed for overnight burning and you control the airflow appropriately, Supertherm can maintain a consistent glow. Always follow appliance manufacturer guidelines.
How long will a 25kg bag of Supertherm last?
On most stoves, Supertherm will burn 8–12 hours per lighting. Because these briquettes produce steady heat, you usually only need 1–2 kg each time you light, depending on your stove size and usage style.
That works out to roughly 12 to 25 fires per 25 kg bag — though this will vary depending on how efficient your stove is, how well you manage the airflow, and whether you’re using an open fire (which burns faster) or a closed stove (which can stretch the burn).
Tip: Once your fire is established, reducing the airflow slightly can extend the burn time without compromising heat output.
