6TH APRIL 2026: WHAT'S NEW THIS WEEK
Another fresh batch through at Honley, and this week it’s all about flowering perennials.
If you’re looking to plant once and enjoy year after year, this is the section to head for.
Fresh In: Flowering Perennials
We’ve now got a great mix in, including:
- Alcea (Hollyhocks)
- Aubrieta
- Erysium (Wallflowers)
- Lupins
- Phlox
- Foxgloves
- Poppies
A really nice mix of height, colour and flowering times - perfect for building up beds and borders that come back stronger each year.
Perfect for Beds, Borders & Containers
Perennials are ideal if you’re looking to create something a bit more permanent in the garden.
They’re great for:
- Filling out borders
- Adding structure and height
- Mixing in with bedding plants for longer-term displays
- Pots and containers that you don’t want to redo every season
Once they’re in and established, they’ll keep coming back - often bigger and better each year.
Easy Colour, Year After Year
A lot of these varieties will flower at different times through spring and summer, so you can build a garden that keeps changing as the season goes on.
If you’re just getting started, mixing a few of these in with bedding plants is a really easy way to get the best of both worlds - instant colour now, and something to come back to next year.
Pop Down & Take a Look
Everything is out on display at Honley, so you can see the colours and varieties properly.
As always, if you’re not sure what will work in your space, just ask - we’re happy to help.
