Mr Fothergill's seed compost has been specially formulated to create the ideal growing medium to give you seeds the best start. Packed with slow-release nutrients to really give your young plants a boost. Better yet this compost comes compact and easy store. Simply follow the instructions on the back of the box or in the long description to use this compost.

This compost is produced from a blend of coconut husk fibres (known as coir), a by-product of coconut growing. With added seaweed powder and other slow release nutrients. Meaning you will get strong root development and healthy seedling growth.

Storage & Handling

This compost is compressed and dry, making it conveniently compact and light weight. Store in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight until ready to use.

When handling, wearing gloves is recommended. Use in a well-ventilated place and avoid breathing in any dust created. Always wash hands after gardening.

How To Use

  1. Remove the card sleeve and recycle when finished with.
  2. Unwrap the bag from around the compost block and open out, keeping the compost in the bottom. Then add four litres of clean, lukewarm water.
  3. Leave for 5 minutes to allow the water to soak into the block.
  4. After 5 minutes mix up the compost, breaking up any lumps. Add a little more water if needed. The compost is now ready to be used.
