Description

Vitax Feed and Weed

  • Kills common lawn weeds and encourages grass regrowth
  • Apply from April to September
  • Contains clopyralid, 2,4-D and MCPA

A soluble concentrate, one bottle will cover approximately 100m2 of lawn. Once applied, Feed and Weed quickly kills off any weeds and encourages grass growth to cover bare areas left by dead weeds.

Vitax Feed and Weed should be applied when the soil is moist and weeds are actively growing and leafy. Do not apply in windy weather and where possible avoid drift onto crops and non-target plants.

It will kill weeds present at time of application but will not prevent weeds from germinating.

Following treatment do not mow the affected area for three days to allow full uptake by the weeds.

Always use plant protection products safely and carefully read the label.

How To Use

When To Use

Controls many common broad-leaved weeds and rapidly greens up the lawn, encouraging grass growth to cover bare areas left by dead weeds

Apply once a year between April & October when the soil is moist and weeds are leafy and actively growing.

Do not apply in windy weather. Take extreme care to avoid drift onto crops and non-target plants (e.g trees, shrubs and bedding) outside the target area. Keep spray off cultivated plants and away from ponds and watercourses.

Where To Use

Kills weeds present at the time of treatment, but does not prevent weeds from germinating. A second application, of another product, may be required after 6-8 weeks to kill stubborn weeds like buttercups and any weeds that may have germinated later. Test for turf safety on a small area of turf before overall application.

Do not mow for 3 days before and 3 days after treatment to allow full uptake and movement within the weeds. Do not spray on lawns which are less than one year old. Allow at least 6 weeks between treatment and over-seeding established turf. Do not treat during drought, freezing conditions or in periods of prolonged cold weather. Allow at least six months before sowing or planting broad-leaved plants.

How To Use

To treat 12m², use 2 measures (60ml) in 6 litres of water when using a watering can with a fine rose or sprinkler bar, or 60ml in 1 litre of water when applying by sprayer. Set the sprayer nozzle to a medium setting. Avoid too fine a spray as drift onto neighbouring plants may occur.

Half fill the watering can or spraying with water then add the weedkiller plus the remaining water, mix thoroughly and use immediately.

After use immediately wash out equipment with water and detergent to remove all traces of weedkiller, fill with clean water and leave overnight. Spray or drain out again before storing or using another product. Keep children and pets away from treated area until spray has dried.

After treatment, leave the clippings from the first mowing on the lawn. The next three mowing should be composted well, for at least 9 months, before being used as a mulch. Do not dispose of the grass clippings via council composting schemes.
